Named for two Medal of Honor winners, the Stryker is currently used in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is a lightly armored, 8-wheeled, all terrain vehicle operated by a 2-man crew. It is normally used to transport a 9-man infantry squad. The Stryker has effective speed, computer controlled battle awareness, and various firepower options to support the squad after they dismount from the vehicle. Academy has nailed this version of the M1126 in 1/72 scale. The kit contains 101 parts with an extremely accurate suspension system with highly detailed arms and levers. All hatches can be positioned as the modeler chooses. Decals and paint instructions are provided to create either of two actual strikers that have served the U.S. Army. Paint colors needed: Khaki, Sandy Brown, Flat Black, Silver, Steel, and Field Green.
 | This plastic model kit requires plastic cement and paint for assembly, and they are sold separately. |
