This set is HO scale and most of Hornby trains are OO scale. As for freight costs, that can only be determined by adding the item to the shopping cart and proceeding thru international checkout. by eHobbies C 8/16/2012 QUESTION: WHATIS DCC AND IS BETTER THAN A REGULAR ENGINE ? by ronald p 12/25/2011 ANSWER: If you plan on running multiple trains on one layout dcc is better. In a DCC layout electric current is sent to the tracks at all times and the engines have chips inside that control when they get power. Google DCC trainsets and you should be able to find a more detailed explanation. by G E 1/6/2012 ANSWER: It has to do with sound and advanced controls. It is sort of expensive to get into from what I am told. If you are just playing or getting started I think you are fine without it. We do not have it at all and I don't think we miss it. My 7 yr old son is usually doing the sound. Have fun. by B G 1/5/2012 ANSWER: it work good and it can run a one engine train at 1 and thin the other train at 2 and it go's up to 10 but all trains is set on 3 and i like it when it came with a dvd. by Arthur D 1/1/2012 |
