Now teachers can teach Estes model rocketry in Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Technology classes using the Estes Rocket Labs Lesson Plans. The Estes Rocket Labs (ERL) Lessons use a 3 Easy Steps! format that was designed just for model rockets: Step 1 - LEARN; Step 2 - BUILD; Step 3 - LAUNCH! The lesson plans cover all five subject areas (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Technology) and are for grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. There are 45 lesson plans for one, two, or three class sessions. Plus, each lesson addresses a specific National Learning Standard. Each lesson plan includes the National Learning Standard, Objectives, Materials, Time, Key Words, Background Information, Activities, Wrap Ups, Evaluation/Assessment, Extensions and References. ERL lessons are perfect to use for cross-curricular learning, too! This DVD is divided into seven sections: Introduction, Acknowledgments, Lesson Plans, Resource Materials, PowerPoints, Ignite the Imagination Video and Guide for Teachers and Youth Group Leaders. Resource material include visuals, student handouts and worksheets needed for each lesson. Estes has done all the work for teachers! All a teacher needs to do to teach a model rocketry lesson is to choose a subject in their grade level by how many sessions (one, two or three) they have for the lesson, review the lesson plan, obtain rocket and engines lab/bulk packs and teach the lesson.
