Futaba is proud to release their RBT-1 Humanoid Ready-To-Walk Robot “RTW” with Wireless 2.4GHz Controller. Fully assembled and controlled by 20 small Futaba servos, RPU-11 Processing Unit with rotary switch to change modes such as Edit Mode (to make and edit motions with ME), Automatic Mode (to play motion inputted automatically), Operating Mode (to control robot with wireless controller) and much more Tri-Axial Acceleration Sensor. The Tri-Axial feature allows robot to distinguish posture to ground in order to get up from falls, while more 3D CG Motion Editor software allows viewing robot motions on Windows PC. These motions can be created by moving mouse or inputting numbers with no programming needed, various settings allow pre-setting the behavior with output of sensors, key assignment of controller and more.

Basic motion such as walking pre-inputted into the Motion Editor allows original operation by editing sample motion with eleven RS301CR high torque metal gear servos controlling mainly leg movement. Nine lightweight RS302CD servos control upper body movement with game pad type controller with wireless 2. 4GHz technology. This new technology can be "paired" to the robot so that instruction from other controllers is not accepted. This option allows up to 16 controllers to be used at once.

Included with the Futaba RTW RBT-1 is an assembled robot, RPU-11 processing unit, RRC-T11 2.4GHz controller, eleven RS301CR servos, nine RC302CD servos, RRC-R11 Receiver, PR-4S780P 7.4V lithium ion polymer battery, LBC-3E5 12VDC charger, Motion Editor software, Li-Ion, Robot, and battery charger manuals.

If there is no RS232C port in your PC, it is possible to connect to the USB port using a commercially available USB-serial converter. However, some USB ports or serial converters reduce communication speed or make communication impossible
