Muscungus Bay Lobster Smacks were built from the 1860’s to the turn of the century. Two men could easily work these small sloops. Noted for their speed, these handy and seaworthy craft were used along the Maine coast for catching lobsters, and for transporting them from islands to central shipping ports. Model kit hull construction: Die-cut side & bottom planking.
