This design came from the prestigious design office of John G. Alden Naval Architects, Inc. located in Boston, Massachusetts. It was a modification of a previous Alden design, The Sakonnet Daysailer that was designed in 1939. Originally referred to as Design No. 694, we found the drawings, with a detail of a Cabin Trunk, on the original Sakonnet plans and thought it would make a great model boat kit. Model kit hull construction: Basswood Strip Planking.
