This design came from the prestigious design office of John G. Alden Naval Architects, Inc. located in Boston, Massachusetts. It was a modification of a previous Alden design, The Sakonnet Daysailer that was designed in 1939. Originally referred to as Design No. 694, we found the drawings, with a detail of a Cabin Trunk, on the original Sakonnet plans and thought it would make a great model boat kit. We do not know if any boats were ever made featuring the enclosed cabin, but if they were made, we're sure they sailed great!
