Designed for a competition to create a locomotive weighing less than six tons and pull 20 tons at 10 mph, the Stephenson Rocket won handily and was put into production for the Liverpool & Manchester Railroad. They were the first passenger trains in the world. This colourful black and yellow steam engine model is molded in color and has plated parts. The angled pistons and valve gear move realistically and the train includes a tender with a water barrel, and a strip of track complete with cross ties.
 | This plastic model kit requires plastic cement and paint for assembly, and they are sold separately. |
