This ship was named after the Italian cartographer and explorer for whom the New World was named. A three-masted sailing ship, it was launched in 1931, and is now a training ship for the Italian Naval Academy. Its style is reminiscent of a 19th warship. The model can be built with a full hull, or can be displayed on its waterline. A stand is included. The intricate gold carving on the bow is depicted on the detailed decal. Lifeboats, davits, and full-blown sails are part of this attractive model, and detailed rigging instructions are included.
 | This plastic model kit requires plastic cement and paint for assembly, and they are sold separately. |
