Long range, heavy armament and large bomb loads made the B-24 indispensable to the Allied victory. More B-24s were built than any other American bomber. As the planes wore out, they were classed as War Weary and many were used as marker planes to set up formations before a raid. These planes were painted with bright colors and sometimes-bizarre color schemes for high visibility. This model depicts one of those planes.
