The X-15 is likely the most important of the USAF series of experimental aircraft. Long before the push for civilian space flight the X-15 rocket plane was reaching and returning from the edge of space. Just over 16 inches long, this easy-to-build sport scale version of the famous NASA research vehicle features laser-cut balsa fins and wings. It has a molded cockpit nose cone and beautiful water slide decals. Loads of decals. Quest Level II kits require some basic beginner skills in model rocketry construction and finishing. The assembly and finishing can take a complete day.
