The special feature of this unconventional little car is the steering column which swivels upwards with the door via a cardan joint when opening the front - and the Revell die cast delights in offering the very same mechanics. The Isetta was powered by a 12 hp throttled 250 ccm one-cylinder four-stroke engine. This motorcycle with roof was a status symbol of the 50s in Germany, and with the newly acquired mobility created an unstoppable urge to venture further affield. Even though the car and camper together offered precious little space, there was still enough room for two adventure-seekers to sit at the front and stretch out in the back, since the roof could be raised up, as can be done with the Revell die cast.
