Q & A
QUESTION: I'm doing a model tank and was told using primer before painting is the best way to get a good paint job on the item. Is this true or should I just stick with the original green color on the plastic and paint over it? by johnny d 7/10/2012
ANSWER: I always prime before painting and I also wash the part in warm water with a touch of dawn or something similar. by Shawn S 7/10/2012
STAFF ANSWER: If the plastic is green in color and the paint scheme is also green or darker, primering is not necessary unless you have done a lot of puttying or modifying. If the plastic is green and the paint scheme is tan or sand colored, primering would help. by eHobbies C 7/10/2012
