More F-4 Phantom II's have been produced than any other modern warplane. Over 5,000 Phantoms have rolled out of the factory since the flight of the first prototype in 1958. It was developed to replace the F-105. This Wild Weasel version is equipped with sophisticated radar equipment and electronic counter measures for evading and jamming enemy radar equipment. The Phantom has also served as a fight interceptor, photo-recon, bomber and attack plane. Truly a legend in its own time.
