In 1941, The KV-1 was arguably the toughest tank on the wintry battlefields of the Eastern Front --- and perhaps of WWII. Armed with a powerful 76.2 mm gun and a thick, armoured hide capable of withstanding most anti-tank fire, it proved a formidable opponent for the Germans. Despite its strengths, the KV-1 suffered a number of weaknesses--- and underpowered engine incapable of efficiently pushing the weight of up-armoured tanks, a drivetrain prone to mechanical problems, and poor maneuverabiility allowed it to fall prey to faster, more nimble armour at the spearhead of the German advance. Features diecast metal construction with plastic accessories, opening hatch, and tracks that roll. Includes commander figure.
